A Commitment Ceremony should be about you, your relationship to one another and your future together as partners in life

Some couples prefer a commitment ceremony as opposed to a legal marriage ceremony for personal reasons. They want to show their love and life-long commitment to each other in a less formal way or just a private ceremony with two people.

Many same sex couples want to make a public commitment to each other. Marriage between same sex couples is still illegal in Australia but a Commitment Ceremony can cement a loving relationship in front of friends and relatives in a romantic ceremony.

All couples chosing to have a Commitment Ceremony will receive a Certificate of Commitment.
